Tear
Tear is one of the defects wh is very popular in aluminum products.Teat still happens in every facory
everyday,though all extruaion workera are atriving for atopping it.By adopting application of SEM-3D,we have made some progress.

 The max depth of tear has been measured 56.4u by GPS.
Fractograph
Fractograph is the only way to provide us the evidence for further analysis of the uniform section and
fracture toughness after tensile test of mechanical property But other factory seldom do the analysis
mentioned above,By analyzing the stretched fractography with SEM in our company, the technicians can
prove the macromachanical property of aluminum profile on one hand.on the other oroprety as well,So
our products are more reliable.

Analysis on Micro Defects by Using SEM/EDX
Main causes:
·lmpurity can not be removd completely on melting,it remains in billet
·These impurities may flow out of the dies and form defects both inside and outside of the extruding
material,which will bring bad effects to quality of the analysis of the impurity is the best way to improve
the quality of extrusion.The followings are the examples of analysis on micro defects by SEM/EDX.
